Hamza Bounoua was born in Algeria in 1979 and studied at the Fine Art Institute of Algiers. Inspired by Berber, Andalucian and Islamic arts, he has exhibited in Kuwait, Brazil, Canada, Jordan, Bosnia, Bahrain and Europe. He was awarded 1st prize in the Mediterranean Sea Art Award, Marseille (2001) and the International Euro-Algerian Art Conference, Belgium (2001). In 2007, he had a solo exhibition at the Modern Art Museum in Algiers. He has lived in Kuwait since 2003.
