Jenny Thompson began painting when living in Japan. On returning to England she studied at Brighton Art School, graduating in 1979, where she studied with Gwyther Irwin. Her paintings and drawings based on the figure have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the UK and are in collections in the US, Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, and the UK. She lives and works in East Anglia.
