Matthew Corbin Bishop was born in 1984. He graduated from Bath Spa University in 2008. Recent work has included The Making of the Modern World, a series of 80 paintings based on stamps from Britain's colonial era. The work explores the shifting boundaries of political geography and the extent to which Empire exists today. He lives and works in Southampton.
