Paul Huxley was born in London in 1938. He studied at Harrow School of Art and graduated from the Royal Academy Schools in 1960. His first solo exhibition was at the Rowan Gallery, London, in 1963. His abstract paintings have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the UK and internationally. Professor of Painting at the Royal College of Art from 1986-1998, he was elected to the Royal Academy in 1987. He lives and works in London.
