Steve Sabella was born in Jerusalem in 1975. He is the holder of the Ellen Auerbach Award (2008) granted by the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, shortlisted for the Terry O’Neil Award for Contemporary Photography in the UK (2008), and was a prize winner in the 2002 A.M. Qattan Foundation Young Artist Award. He has exhibited widely in Palestine, and participated in several international group exhibitions in Europe, Canada and the USA, most notably The Gates of Mediterranean and Neighbors in Dialogue. Sabella is a Chevening and Karim Rida Said Foundation Scholar, with a MA in Photographic Studies.
